A question about Stetson Cowboy Hats?
Well my stepbrother died this time last year in a car accident and his mom my stepmother gave me his cowboy hats saying I would want them.. And I do! I hold them in high respect but I can't seem to wear them they are too big on me is there something I can do to make them fit my head?
On my stetson the band around the inside of the crown (sweat band) is not attached at the top. You can pull it away from the hat and place something around the hat in this area holding the band out some thus making the hat a bit smaller. maybe stiff paper that is about 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick. Maybe folded up paper towels. This will only reduce the size a little. When I was young and partied alot I kept a $50 bill tucked under the band in case I lost my wallet. Didn't effect the size any but you get the picture.
